As racers, I am sure that all of you have, what Jim Parks calls, the "Dammit Pile"!!!!  If you have ever seen the TV show, "Junkyard Wars", you will understand what we are trying to do.  We want to challenge everyone to

our own Junkyard Wars using YOUR Dammit Pile!!!!

Can YOU make something from your dammit pile to earn you a super trophy????  The challenge is ON!!!

cartoon.jpgThe rules are simple!!   We challenge you to make something using some of the supplies that are only found in your "Dammit Pile".  These items are usually the bent, the wrecked, the mangled and the persuaded to be "useless" pieces of a perfectly good race car, prior to being sent to their demise by some other speeding contraption, or competitor.  (This is where it enters the dammit pile!)

So to the drawing board you go!!!   Then build your piece at home (or in the shop) and do not forget to bring it with you to the Race Car Show!!!!!

This trophy of a specimin must be less than 4 foot tall and take up no more than a  1 & 1/2 ft square space.  There are no weight restrictions, but just remember, YOU are the one who has to carry it to the judgment table!!!  Your prize winning "object" must be something that we all can recognize, and can all appreciate, OR you must be able to completely explain it's function and convince our panel of judges why it is the WINNER!    Once you decide upon the materials in which you want to use, you can weld 'em, glue 'em, tape 'em, use baling wire or whatever jump starts your ignition, just make sure that for safety's sake that there are no sharp edges and no aromatic fumes.

No fair spying on your competitors in this contest!!  rmc_fox_cartoon.jpgUnless you deem necessary AND are the sly one.  OR you can team up with them to outsmart the foxes, yup, they can enter into this contest as well!!!

Please let us know if you are going to be participating in this challenge  so we know how much space to make available for the showing.  Send me an email  to tracksidecollect@aol.com
